About the project:
Born out of a personal need for a finance management application, I decided to build FinTrack while taking the CS50x course from Harvard through EdX. Due to CS50's AI usage limitations, the development process utilized minimal coding agent assistance.
This MVP version of the application allows users to record transactions and create budgets to track their personal expenses. A Dashboard is provided so users can analyze their expenses and have a higher control over their financial life.
Core Functionalities
Local DB for offline experience
Designed and developed a local DB system, ensuring the best possible performance & security for users. Additionally, local DB is fully supported by iCloud's system, allowing users to switch phones without losing their data.
CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) operations for Transactions and Budgets.
All necessary CRUD operations were designed with focus on ease of use. Users can benefit of manual creation, deletion and update, while being able to fully visualize all their entries in the app.
Native Light and Dark mode support.
SwiftUI design system is capable for supporting light and dark mode in app building. Accent and semantic colors were chosen due to their flexibility to fit both light and dark mode states.
