360
Service against school evasion & Student monitoring platform
Period: Jan 2021 - Jul 2021
Academic project, FAU-USP

About the project:
360 was developed as my graduation thesis from the University of São Paulo. Its goal was to help amend the issue of school evasion in Brazil, which has grown tremendously with the covid-19 pandemic.
A Service Design approach was used in both the research and concept phases of this project. The final products were a service blueprint and an online platform designed to assist parents, teachers, principals and colleagues on the fight against the evasion of a student.

Service Design Methods
Semi-structured interviews with key users and stakeholders
In order to gain knowledge in Brazilian's public educational system and the problem of school drop-out, I conducted several stakeholder interviews, understanding actors main pain points, struggles, roles and goals.

Persona Cards
As an artifact post-interviews, I created persona cards for all actors involved in the student's school journey.

User journey maps
I also designed User Journey Maps for both students and surrounding actors. This way I could identify key moments within the school journey where students, parents and teachers struggle the most with scenarios of a high-risk of drop-out.

Requirements Gathering
Once the discovery phase was complete, I moved into the definition phase, analyzing key findings to propose relevant service requirements. Techniques such as how might we? questions, user stories, etc.

Service Ideation
I also designed User Journey Maps for both students and surrounding actors. This way I could identify key moments within the school journey where students, parents and teachers struggle the most with scenarios of a high-risk of drop-out.

Final Service Blueprint Solution
From the requirements and ideas generated on the previous steps, a final service blueprint was able to be drawn, identifying key user roles, actions and touch-points. The final solution combined a school-parent communication system, an activity tracker booklet, and a student monitoring platform.
This illustrated blueprint presents a summarized view of the service blueprint.

Student Monitoring Platform
The major UI delivery was the Student Monitoring Platform, a needed touchpoint that provides a clear overview of the student's performance, with AI-based triggers that identify when a student's attendance, grades and overall participation decays, alerting teachers, staff and parents.
